Voices
Overview
Lalals provides advanced AI voice conversion technology that enables you to transform your recorded vocals into a wide range of styles and tones. The platform includes two main voice libraries: Inspired Voices and Original Voices. These give you flexibility to experiment, adapt your projects, and achieve different results depending on your creative or professional needs.
AI Voices can be used in music production, content creation, podcasts, educational material, or any other project where you want to explore different vocal possibilities.
Voice Types
Inspired Voices
Inspired Voices are style-inspired AI voices presented using the names of well-known artists, celebrities, and public figures to help users explore recognisable vocal styles, tones, accents, and performance aesthetics.
They are designed for creative experimentation and inspiration, allowing you to explore how different vocal styles might influence your ideas, without being direct copies of any specific individual.
Inspired Voices allow you to:
- Explore how your track might sound when guided by the general style or aesthetic of a well-known performer
- Experiment with genre-specific vocal characteristics, such as R&B, hip hop, rock, or pop
- Create demos, sketches, or playful concepts for personal or educational use
⚠️ Important: Inspired Voices are intended for personal, non-commercial use only. Outputs generated using Inspired Voices must not be sold, monetised, publicly released, or uploaded to streaming platforms without the appropriate permissions. For full details, please refer to our Terms of Service.
Original Voices
Original Voices are created from recordings of professional singers and trained to sound natural, clear, and versatile. These voices are studio-grade and designed for commercial use. With Original Voices you can:
- Replace your own vocals with polished, professional-quality singing.
- Choose from a range of vocal tones (male, female, deep, high, expressive).
- Use them in tracks you intend to release commercially across streaming platforms.
Best Practices for Optimal Results
To achieve the best quality when using AI Voice conversion, it is important to prepare your input audio correctly:
Input Vocal Quality
- Always provide a raw, unprocessed vocal recording. Avoid adding effects such as reverb, delay.
- The only acceptable processing is light pitch correction, if needed, to keep the recording in tune.
Recording Levels
- Record with balanced microphone levels. Avoid recordings that are too quiet, which may increase noise, or too loud, which can cause distortion and clipping.
- Monitor your input levels during recording to ensure consistency.
Recording Environment
- Record in a quiet space with minimal background noise.
- Use a microphone setup that reduces room echo (e.g., pop filters, acoustic treatment, or close-miking).
- The cleaner the source, the more accurate the AI voice conversion will be.
File Preparation
- Upload audio in supported formats (see below).
- Make sure the recording is a single vocal track without backing music, as accompaniment will interfere with the AI’s ability to process.
Following these steps will greatly reduce unwanted noise, artifacts, or robotic qualities in the output.

Workflow: Using AI Voices
- Upload: Record and upload a clean vocal file (MP3, WAV, or FLAC).
- Select Voice Type: Choose between Inspired Voices (for experimentation) or Original Voices (for commercial-ready results).
- Configure Settings: Adjust pitch or style settings if needed to match the target voice more closely.
- Process: Allow the AI to run the conversion. Processing usually takes seconds, depending on file length.
- Download: Export your converted vocal in WAV or MP3 format and integrate it into your project.
Tips for Best Results
- Try multiple voices to compare results — some voices work better with different vocal ranges.
- Use the pitch shift option when your recording is outside the comfortable range of the target voice.
- For songs with wide vocal ranges, ensure your input recording covers the low, mid, and high notes, so the AI has enough data to generate naturally.
- Always keep an original backup of your input vocal in case you need to reprocess with different settings.
